The Consultative Group on Environment and Health established
under the European Environment and Health Strategy and consisting of 50
Member States representatives and 50 representatives of major stakeholder
organisations will closely follow the work of the Implementation Group
and monitor the progress of implementation.
The Implementation Group members need to ensure strong relations with
their national government in order to guarantee transparency and full
involvement of all Member States. Therefore "governmental representatives
responsible for HBM" are identified. They will be regularly informed
by the Implementation Group members on the progress and on the need
for decisions with a view to a wide support to the implementation procedure.
The Implementation Group
"Recommendations" have be discussed with
the Consultative Group on Environment & Health, who have be consulted
on a regular basis during the process of preparing the Pilot Project.
While the contracts will provide purely scientific reports, the
Implementation Group will have to focus on the science-policy
interface.
